Kecia Ellis Maddox is wanted for Theft of Property 1st degree by the Montgomery Police Department. A warrant for her arrest has been secured for stealing a 2002 Chevrolet Impala from Ralph Smith Motors on November 9, 2008.

She also has a Theft of Property 1st degree warrant out of Houston County. Ms. Maddox’ last known addresses are 4790 Plaza Drive Apt 346 and 2112 Rexford Road. Attached is a photograph of Kecia Ellis Maddox.

Nov. 4th

On Tuesday, November 4, 2008 at 6:25 a.m., officers responded to the 2600 block of The Meadows Apartments on a persons’ robbery. Upon arrival, contact was made with a 27 y/o female victim. The victim advised she was approached in the parking lot by an unknown B/M asking to use her cell phone. The victim advised she complied and she was then approached by a second B/M wearing a red and white ball cap. Both subjects produced semi-auto handguns and demanded her property. They stole her purse containing $40.00 in assorted U.S. Currency, a checkbook, assorted credit and debit cards and her cell phone valued at $200.00 and both suspects were observed getting into a White Dodge Charger with an unknown Georgia Tag, heading in an unknown direction by the victim. At approximately 6:33 a.m officers observed a vehicle matching the description at the intersection of Woodmere and Sagewood Drive occupied by three subjects.


Officers activated their emergency equipment and the vehicle refused to stop. A pursuit began on Carmichael Road and then turning onto I-85 northbound. Officers continued the vehicle pursuit down I-85 with speeds of 100 M.P.H. with no traffic. The driver was observed throwing the victim’s property from the vehicle alongside the interstate. The driver turned left onto Highway 80 and continued on Marlar Road turning left onto Highway 110. Upon entering the intersection of Hwy. 82 and 110, Union Springs Officers and a Conservation Officer were positioned at the intersection. These officers took actions that resulted in the termination of the pursuit. The vehicle occupants were taken into custody.


Subsequent to the pursuit and initial arrests, additional victims were located. A 27 y/o female, of 4500 block of Beth Manor Dr. Apt-B who reported that she was walking to the bus stop near the 1100 block of Perry Hill Road at 5:50 a.m. when she was approached by two unknown black males, who produced an unknown handgun and demanded her purse. The suspect stole her purse containing $5.00 in assorted U.S. Currency and assorted credit cards. A 25 y/o female stated that three of her roommates were returning to their apartment, when they observed a total of four suspects exit her apartment with property. She also stated that one of the suspects struck one of the roommates in the head with an unknown type of handgun and fled the scene in a small four door white vehicle.


There were also additional suspects arrested in connection to these robberies. Currently, we have six subjects in custody who are being charged with multiple counts of robbery. All of these subjects are from outside of Montgomery, Alabama. These subjects are also crime suspects in other Alabama and Georgia Jurisdictions.


At this time we are unable to release names or photographs of the suspects. As additional information pertaining to this investigation is available for release the Montgomery Police Department will provide it to the local media.

For Immediate Release October 30, 2008

 

On Thursday, October 30, 2008, officers responded to 6601 Narrow Lane Road (Citgo) in reference to a robbery.

Upon arrival, the clerk stated that two subjects entered the business, produced a silver handgun and demanded money.One of the subjects then jumped over the counter and took an undisclosed amount of currency from the clerk. The subjects then fled the business on foot.

The manager of the business observed the subjects enter a brown Chevrolet Caprice and leave from behind the business northbound on Narrow Lane Road. The manager followed the subjects on Narrow Lane Road and updated dispatchers on his location. Officers intercepted the suspect vehicle in the 6000 block of Narrow Lane Road and initiated a traffic stop. The suspect vehicle refused to stop and continued north on Narrow Lane Road and turned west bound on the South Boulevard service road.

The pursuit continued through the Buckingham residential neighborhood until the suspects turned southbound on Narrow Lane Road. The pursuit continued to the dead end of Narrow Lane Road where the suspects struck a tree on the passenger side of the vehicle and fled on foot through a field. After a short foot pursuit, both subjects were taken into custody.

The driver of the vehicle was identified as Desmond Nelson 21yoa of 5667 A Calmar Drive, and the passenger was identified as Donald Sankey 20yoa of 6801 Narrow Lane Road. Mr. Nelson and Mr. Sankey where charged with Robbery 1st Degree. Attached are photographs of Mr. Nelson and Mr. Sankey.

On Monday, September 8, 2008 at 11:55 a.m., officers responded to 2000 Plum Street in reference to a domestic call. While en- route dispatch advised that the argument was between a male and a female at the residence. Upon arrival, officers knocked and observed that the front door was ajar and made entry to check the welfare of the occupants. An officer cleared the residence and was unable to locate anyone inside. The officer then opened a rear door and stepped out into the back yard. At that point she observed two large dogs (Pit Bull Mix) in the yard. One of the dogs was not on a chain and charged at the officer, striking her in the right lower leg area. The officer drew her city issue weapon and fired one round striking the dog in the right rear leg. The dogs released his grip and fled to the rear of the yard. The Montgomery Fire Medics responded and advised that the officer sustained two minor puncture wounds to the lower leg area and that the injuries were non- life threatening but would require further treatment. Animal Control, along with the Humane Deputy, responded and took possession of the dog. On September 26, 2008, Edith Campbell reported to the Domestic Violence Bureau in reference to an interview about the phone call made from 2000 Plum Street to the Montgomery Police Department, Communications Center, on September 8, 2008. Upon arrival, Ms. Campbell was read her Miranda Rights from the Montgomery Police Department’s standard Rights Form which she did sign. Ms. Campbell gave a voluntary taped statement and confessed that she made a false call because she was upset with her husband. Ms. Campbell was charged with False Reporting to a Law Enforcement Authority and placed in the Montgomery City Jail on a $500 bond.
